Bajaj Pulsar NS 125

I think engineers of Bajaj have worked hard on this motorcycle so that it can compete with Yamaha motorcycles which are priced between 1-1.5L. This resembles the look of its bigger brothers- Pulsar NS 160 and NS 200.

Regarding the engine, it has a 124.45 cc single-cylinder engine which produces 12 bhp of power along with 11 NM of torque. When you have similar torque and power output, it will mean the same punchy performance in all the gears. Generally, with other bikes, higher gears have a low rush. It has a 5-speed gearbox.

The front has a 240 mm disc brake and a 130 mm drum brake in the rear. It has a 12L fuel tank which is good as it has a mileage of around 45+ kmpl. As it is a 125 cc motorcycle, it can easily achieve a mileage near to 50 kmpl on highways as claimed by Bajaj.

The instrument cluster is a mix of digital and analog units. It has a digital speedometer, trip meter etc and only the tachometer (which tells us the engine RPM) is analog.

It has a perimeter frame which makes handling and cornering at high speeds easy.

If we talk about the pricing, it comes at an attractive ex-showroom Delhi price of 93,600.

Final verdict-

This bike is a beast in its segment but may seem a bit pricier. In that case, you can consider the Pulsar 150 classic which costs less than this and you won’t have this design language but the pulsar 150 has a capable engine for daily commutes.

Honda X Blade

Honda X Blade has given tough competition to motorcycles like Bajaj Pulsar and Yamaha FZ. In 2021, this motorcycle received many color variants which made this bike recommendable in our list. It looks wonderful now.

In looks, this motorcycle is the best looking in its segment. It has an open chain design and a unique W-shaped LED tail light. It has LED headlamps which make it visually appealing and also increase night visibility.

Honda X Blade is powered by a 162 cc engine which gives 13.8 bhp power output and 14.7 NM torque.

It has an all-digital instrument cluster. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox and the best thing is you get optional ABS which obviously drives up the price.

It has a 12L fuel tank and the company assures mileage of 45-50 kmpl.

About the pricing, it starts at 1,08,000 rs ex-showroom Delhi. If you had a budget of around 1L then it fits there and regarding the final verdict:

If you want a 160 cc segment bike with the refined engine which looks awesome and has modern equipment like digital instrument cluster and LED lights then this is a good option. It is undoubtedly better than the pulsar NS 125 provided you wanna spend those extra bucks.

Revolt RV400

This bike looks futuristic and so is worth mentioning. Not only by looks, but this bike is really futuristic as it is an electric bike and the price point is attractive.

It has a range of 150 km in a single charge with a 3.24 kWh battery and it takes 4.5 hrs to charge fully. The battery has a warranty of 8 years which makes this motorcycle basically maintenance-free.

Motor is of 3000 KW with 85 kmph top speed.

Top features include- it is an electric bike and is automatic. You do not have any gearbox option.

It has a combi brake system and most importantly it has a low running cost and is eco friendly.

The attractive pricing is just 98,000 ex-showroom.

Verdict-

Top speed isn’t high but if you are okay with it and want to save running costs then it is a perfect choice as it has no maintenance and is smooth.

To wrap it up, the best choice will be Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 or the classic 150 if you want a bike strictly under 1 lakh and if you can extend your budget then Honda X Blade is fine. Lastly, if you want a futuristic cheap bike then Revolt RV is good.
